Transport of railway vehicles

Veneta Trasporti trailers carried a railway vehicle – or more specifically, a 21m-long ballast tamping machine, used for the routine and specific rail track maintenance. This machine tamps the tracks, bringing them to the specific level laid down in construction specifications.

The convoy, which was 30m long, 4.7m high, and easily weighed more than 100 tons, travelled through the night along the roads between the port of Marghera and Silea, the final destination of the railway vehicle; accompanied by two escort cars.
